Frequently Asked Questions

  • My Education and Experience
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with Master’s degrees in Psychological Services & Business Administration. My background includes over a decade of clinical experience across diverse settings, including supporting military and first responders, children and families, and those living with severe mental illness. I have experience diagnosing and working with individuals facing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic illness and pain, communication issues, substance abuse, infidelity, and domestic violence. This diverse experience allows me to meet clients where they are and provide compassionate, informed care.
  • My Approach
I take a holistic, trauma-informed, and solution-focused approach tailored to your individual needs. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and emphasizes mind-body wellness, lifestyle integration, and collaborative care.
  • What Can I Expect from Therapy?
Your first session is a 90-minute assessment to explore your background, current challenges, and goals. In session two, we’ll create a personalized roadmap for your therapy journey. Ongoing sessions are 53 minutes, and we’ll regularly review and adjust your plan to support progress.
  • What If I’ve Never Been to Therapy?
That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure before starting therapy. I’ll guide you through each step and create a welcoming space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered.
  • Who Do You Work With?
I work with adults from all walks of life, including military members, first responders, their families, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, ADHD, chronic pain and illness, and relationship challenges.
  • Do You Offer In-Person or Virtual Sessions?
I currently offer secure virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows flexibility and access to care from the comfort of your home.
  • What Is Telehealth / Virtual Therapy?
Telehealth allows us to meet online for therapy sessions using a secure, confidential platform. It’s convenient and effective. Make sure you’re in a quiet, private space and have a strong internet connection for the best experience.
  • What Technology Do I Need for Virtual Sessions?
You’ll need a private space where you feel comfortable talking, a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. I’ll provide a secure link before each session—no special software required.
  • What Is the Cost?
    Individual session: $150 + Couple session: $200 + Assessment: $250 + Free 15-Minute Consultation: I offer a one-time, no-cost consultation to discuss your needs and determine if we’re a good fit.
  • How Do I Pay? (Add HSA reimbursement calculator to the website)
I currently accept private pay and Health Savings Account (HSA) payments for therapy services. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to submit an out-of-network claim for reimbursement. If you need a detailed receipt (superbill) for reimbursement, I’m happy to provide one upon request. Therapy is an investment, and many Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) consider therapy a qualifying medical expense. Requirements may vary, so please check with your HSA provider for details. You can also use the HSA calculator provided to estimate your actual out-of-pocket cost. As payment options change, I will update this information. Feel free to contact me to discuss the possibility of adding your insurance provider.
